We publish writing and art that reshape ideas of “women’s things” within arts and culture, and we’re always glad to hear from new writers and artists. Here’s how to send us your work.

We are an all-volunteer publication and don’t pay contributors.

Writing

We publish essays, interviews and criticism online. See the writing guidelines here.

Artwork and photography

We feature artists’ images alongside our online articles when there’s a good fit. See the artwork guidelines here.

Events

Tell us about exhibitions, openings, talks and fairs featuring women artists and curators. Please send the event name, dates, venue and city, a link, a short description of two or three sentences, and one or two images (1600 px wide, with credits). Send at least five days before the event, with the subject line “Event Submission: Event Name.”

School projects and internships

For school projects or an internship, send us a short outline of your project or the internship you’d like, along with your résumé and a few work samples. We’re especially looking for help with copy editing, photography and photo editing, social media, outreach and business development.
