About Yassana Croizat-Glazer
Yassana’s decision to become an art dealer and advisor was largely motivated by her passion for getting people excited about all kinds of art. In her words:
“Few things make me happier than helping someone find joy in the discovery of a new artist or the reception of a long-awaited work of art. I’m a matchmaker of sorts, with all the wonderful and unexpected connotations this implies. I also happen to love the nearly limitless creative possibilities of working with inspired contemporary artists, as well as the thrill of studying older works of art. In conceiving of my business, I made sure I could do both.”
Prior to founding YCG Fine Art in 2017, Yassana was a curator in the department of European Sculpture and Decorative Arts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She received her Ph.D. in French Renaissance art from NYU’s Institute of Fine Arts in 2008 and has since authored several publications. Yassana also contributes the column “Past Matters” to AWT.
