Kiyomi Dong is a Brooklyn-based poet and writer hailing from Oahu, Hawaii. Her poetry has appeared in Hanging Loose Magazine #98 and #105. She is the recipient of the Silverman Memorial Award and, most recently, the Hoyt Jacobs Memorial Award. Kiyomi works as a freelance copywriter and is currently the co-editor of Elastic Magazine, a print publication which features work from Asian writers and artists from around the world. She is pursuing her MFA in poetry at Queens College.
