UConn Women’s Basketball Team
(2016–2017)

As the unequivocal queens of March Madness, the University of Connecticut’s women’s basketball team had won 75 straight games and four consecutive national championships at the start of the 2016 season. However, three of their best players had graduated the year before, and the UConn Huskies entered the season ranked No. 3. But that didn’t stop these ballers—the team not only made it to the 2017 NCAA championship, they did it with a blemish-free record. Their 111-game streak, which came to an end with a crushing loss during the Final Four matchup against Mississippi State, broke the previous Division I NCAA basketball record of 90 straight wins. The Huskies were reestablished as the most dominant force in all of college basketball.
